• The Kirchenwirt’s spacious rooms are all individually designed and furnished in an alpine style. A combination of rustic and modern decor. All bathrooms feature a shower or bathtub, bathrobes, and a hairdryer.

• The house has almost 700 years of history, hosts with passion, a vision for the essentials, and a team that has mastered the culinary craft. These components meet at the Kirchenwirt and are the secret of this magical place. The house of the siblings Barbara Kottke and Hans-Jörg Unterrainer is incredibly elegant and staged with great attention to detail and sensitivity. A listed, Gothic Samerstall, a centuries-old wine cellar whose treasures, one of the most beautiful, romantic gardens in the countryside with a wonderful view of the Leoganger Steinberg, a wood-paneled wedding hall, rustic parlors steeped in history, to stylish, individual-themed rooms and suites, each with its own story to tell.

• A centuries-old wine cellar, looked after by the hotel's sommelier team. From selected champagne houses to a fine Austrian selection in the vintage depth, an incredible variety from Italy, and France with a focus on Bordeaux, Burgundy, and the Rhone Valley as well as selected items from the New World, South America, Australia, South Africa, Japan, and the US.

Winter Activities

• The ski bus stops only 200 m away from the hotel and takes guests to the Steinbergbahn or Asitzbahn of the superb ski area of Leogang-Fieberbrunn-Saalbach Hinterglemm A perfect entry into the ski circus. Close to the hotel is the Schantei lift which is great for kids.
• The region also offers cross-country skiing, winter hiking, snowshoeing, and much more winter activities.

• The Urslautal Golf course is 10 km away and offers discounts to guests.
• The bike park Leogang has become one of the most renowned bike parks in Europe.

When to Go

• Winter season runs from December until Easter. You will find the best snow conditions in January and February. The summer season starts in June and lasts until the end of September.

• By train: The nearest station is Leogang, a 5 min drive from the hotel.
