What's the Story

  • While the first generation mainly worked on construction, the second generation concentrated on culinary arts. Elisabeth and Gerhard Lucian focus on the highest quality food. Today they bake bread in their own bakery and even have their own pig farm.

Sustainability

  • Grandfather Fridolin Lucian was the pioneer in Oberlech when it comes to alternative energy sources. As early as 1997, he built a biomass plant on his own to generate energy for the family businesses. In 2009, another biomass district heating plant was built, which today supplies many of the houses in Oberlech.

Wellness & Spa

  • Snow cabin, bio pine sauna, experience showers with mist and rain effects, Infrared cabin with brine and spray mist, or a whirlpool at the fireplace.
  • Yoga room.
  • A special highlight is the homemade herbal oils, for the herbs by hand 2,000 meters altitude can be collected. These natural oils and tinctures are found in various treatments such as facials, reflexology, Herbal massages and moor packs. The herbal tradition goes back to Grandma Helga Lucian, who, in addition to the oils and tinctures, also invented the popular herbal tea mixture from Oberlech.

Wine & Dine

  • Lechtaler Stube (3 toques Gault Millau), sustainable and imaginative cuisine: light Mediterranean cuisine meets French haute cuisine and traditional Austrian dishes.
  • Burg restaurant: Mediterranean dishes and traditional Austrian dishes a la carte. Hotel guests can expect the 5 to 6-course gourmet menus included.
  • The year-round hotspot is the well-known sun terrace. Order the beef tartare with a finely diced fillet of beef, perfectly seasoned and served with onions, capers, egg yolk, anchovies, pickles, homemade butter, and toasted bread.
  • In the winter season, the hotel also offers an ice bar which is perfect for Après-ski.
  • Wine cellar with 60,000 bottles, 4,500 items are stored - exquisite wines, rare vintage depth from Austria and all over the world.

Dresscode

  • Fusalp ski wear to hit the slopes. Cable-knit cashmere for dinner.

Budget

  • Rates start at EUR 380 per night. The hotel is open 10 months a year and only closes in October and November.

  • Lenai & Linai, right next to the church in Lech center for velvet, linen, and wool clothing, and authentic `Austrian slippers. The best souvenier you can take home.

Activities

  • If you are a good skier, start your day in Oberlech, head over to the 'Rüfikopf' until you reach Zürs, then head back to lech via the 'Madloch' — and get a tan at the Burg's terrace in Oberlech.
  • In summer, you can take advantage of the numerous hiking trails, including the famous Lechweg, which runs through the impressive landscape of the Lechtal Alps. Some of the most famous hiking destinations are the Kriegeralpe and the Mohnenfluh.

How to Get There

  • Major airports: Zürich (2 hours) and Munich (3 hours)
  • Smaller airports: St.Gallen (1 hour), Friedrichshafen & Innsbruck (both 1.5 hours)
  • Train station is Langen am Arlberg (30 min)
  • How to access the hotel by car: In winter via the Oberlech cable car from Lech. The luggage will be transported to the hotel. In summer the hotel can be reached on a private road, and parking and garage spaces are available in the hotel.
