What's the Story

  • After almost 1 ½ years of construction, the hotel opened in September 2017 and is now run by Rudolf Schuchter since 2020. Here, they combine their passion for design, architecture, culture, originality, creativity, and quality. The owners have always been fascinated by simple, original, and good things and therefore appreciate products that have been made so carefully and well that they last a very long time. Everyone is familiar with the region and is happy to share their knowledge of the fascinating surroundings, as well as offering insider tips to ensure you have a unique experience.

Wine & Dine

  • It's all about quality and regionality at Bergwiesenglück. They source their food primarily from the surrounding area and from regional partners. The bread is baked fresh every day by the village baker, the milk and butter are delivered from the neighboring dairy and the game comes from their own hunt.
  • HERMANNS KITCHEN serves à la carte breakfast, a rich breakfast buffet, or à la carte dinner in the restaurant, the large terrace or for parties in the Jagd- und Zirbenstube.

Winter Activities

  • The hotel is located at 1,250 meters above sea level, surrounded by four ski areas. The hotel's private shuttle takes you from the hotel to all four nearby resorts. The See ski area is even right next door.

  • Whether skiing, snowboarding, sledding or ice skating - there is definitely something for everyone here. Skiing in Ischgl, cross-country skiing in See, freeriding in Kappl, or snowshoe hiking in Galtür.

  • Explore the region by bike, e-bike or mountain bike. The owner and staff provide you with information about the most beautiful bike tours and help you plan your excursion. You can rent bikes on-site.

When to Go

  • Tyrol is an all-year destination. You will find the best snow conditions from January to March. Summer lasts from June until the end of September.

How to Get There

  • The Paznaun Valley, known by the locals simply as Paznaun, lies in the middle of the Verwall-Samnaun and Silvretta Mountains. The high valley in the far west of North Tyrol, is about 80 km from Innsbruck.

  • By air: Fly into Innsbruck, which is an hour by car. Munich and Zurich airports are both 3 hours driving.

  • By train: The nearest station is Landeck-Zams train. From there the hotel can organize a pick-up service for you.
