Art at the Badhaus

  • Step into a world of art and symbolism at The Badhaus. The unique art passage, a collaboration with the South Tyrolean Artists' Association, features a mesmerizing "liquid starry sky" ceiling, created with light sources and reflections. Hundreds of clay hands, representing solidarity and exchange, form the constellations. A bathrobe sculpture at the entrance pays homage to the building's history as a bathhouse.

What's the Story

  • The hotel occupies a unique space in Brixen's history. Located in a once-hidden courtyard amidst historic buildings, the hotel stands on the site of a late medieval bathhouse, the "padehaus an dem Griezze," which dates back to 1374. This transformation from a place of public bathing to a contemporary hotel creates a fascinating juxtaposition of past and present.
