Chalet Michaelis
Chalet Michaelis is an authentic luxury chalet offering ski-in/ski-out access directly at the doorstep, and access to nearby hiking trails. It is situated in the most exclusive area of Oberlech in Lech am Arlberg. The chalet has been owned by the Michaelis family since 1953, with the grandfather being one of the first to discover Lech in 1950. Inspired by the traditional mountain architecture of the 1960s, the chalet blends modern interiors with timeless alpine charm. The distinct appeal of the home lies in its history as a cherished family residence, creating a truly unique atmosphere. At an altitude of 1,700 meters (5578ft), the chalet boasts breathtaking views of the Arlberg mountains, five individually designed bedrooms, and a Finnish sauna.
Facilities
Spanning three floors, Chalet Michaelis provides generous space for up to 10 guests. Each level offers bedrooms and bathrooms, ensuring privacy and comfort for all. Amenities include a spacious terrace of over 25 m² and a balcony, both offering stunning views of the surrounding mountain landscape.
The chalet is equipped with five bedrooms featuring double beds (four of which can be separated), five bathrooms, three separate toilets, an office, a living room, a bar-lounge with a TV, and a cozy dining room. Rooms overlooking Mount Omeshorn offer breathtaking views of the iconic Arlberg landscape, while other rooms provide direct views of the ski slopes surrounding the chalet. * * Additionally, the chalet has a ski room and private access to the Oberlech tunnel system, which is accessible by golf cart and leads directly to the chalet.
The terrace serves as an ideal space for après-ski gatherings or relaxation after a day of activity, with impressive panoramic views and the opportunity to enjoy the last rays of sunlight.
The chalet is also equipped with various games, offering opportunities for sociable afternoons after skiing. In the evenings, the dining room provides a cozy setting for raclette or fondue. The spacious ski storage room includes a boot warmer, ensuring that equipment dries and warms up quickly after a day on the slopes.
Services
- The chalet is available with or without daily cleaning and breakfast. For an additional fee, the chalet team can arrange in-house spa treatments, private ski or hiking instructors, heliskiing, grocery shopping prior to arrival, and airport transfers. Every detail is handled to create a memorable stay.
Wellness & Spa
- The wellness area includes a Finnish sauna for up to six people, along with an adjoining bathroom featuring a refreshing waterfall shower. Guests can also cool off in the snow between sauna sessions. Bathrobes and ample towels are provided for added comfort.
Budget
- The chalet is available for weekly rentals from Saturday to Saturday, starting at EUR 11,400 per week (excluding breakfast and cleaning) to EUR 32,000 per week including breakfast and cleaning), for up to 10 guests.
